The Immigration Department has appointed another 29 civil celebrants of marriages, bringing the total to 1,217.
Civil celebrants have tied the knot for 16,600 couples since April last year.
Up to mid-July, about 16,900 couples have filed their marriage notices through civil celebrants, but the latter part of the year is normally the peak season for marriages.
