Two senior Administrative Officers have been promoted to Permanent Secretary posts, the Civil Service Bureau says. Sixteen Permanent Secretaries will either take up new posts or stay at their existing posts.

 

Celebrations Co-ordination Office Director Raymond Young will become Permanent Secretary for Development (Planning & Lands) while Director of Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Stella Hung will take up the post of Permanent Secretary for Food & Health (Food).

 

Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology Yvonne Choi will become Permanent Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Commerce, Industry & Tourism). Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning & Lands (Planning & Lands) Rita Lau will take up the post of Permanent Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Communications & Technology).

 

Permanent Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works Joshua Law will become Permanent Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs while Permanent Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works (Works) Mak Chai-kwong will serve as Permanent Secretary for Development (Works).

 

Permanent Secretary for Education & Manpower Raymond Wong will take up the post of Permanent Secretary for Education while Permanent Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works (Environment) Anissa Wong will serve as Permanent Secretary for the Environment.

 

Permanent Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food (Health & Welfare) Sandra Lee will serve as Permanent Secretary for Food & Health (Health) while Permanent Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food (Food & Environmental Hygiene) Carrie Yau will become Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs.

 

Permanent Secretary for Economic Development & Labour (Labour) Paul Tang will serve as Permanent Secretary for Labour & Welfare. Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology (Communications & Technology) Francis Ho will take up the post of Permanent Secretary for Transport & Housing (Transport).

 

Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning & Lands (Housing) Thomas Chan will continue as Permanent Secretary for Transport & Housing (Housing).

 

Permanent Secretaries who will stay at their existing posts are Permanent Secretary for the Civil Service Andrew Wong, Permanent Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury (Financial Services) Kevin Ho, Permanent Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury (Treasury) Alan Lai, Permanent Secretary for Security Stanley Ying and Chief Executive's Office Permanent Secretary Chang King-yiu.

 

Rita Lau, Joshua Law, Raymond Young, Stella Hung and Francis Ho will take up their new posts on July 16. The other Permanent Secretaries will serve in their respective positions upon the re-organisation of the Government Secretariat which takes effect July 1.

 

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary for Security Cheung Siu-hing will assume the post of Director of Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation on July 16. Permanent Secretary for Constitutional Affairs Cherry Tse will become Commissioner for Labour on July 1. Deputy Secretary for Education & Manpower Betty Fung will assume the post of Director of Information Services on July 16.
