Kai Yip electors urged to vote

*

Kwun Tong District Council Kai Yip Constituency electors are urged to vote in the May 20 by-election. The polling station, at Kai Yip Community Hall in Kai Yip Estate, Kwun Tong, will open from 7.30am to 10.30pm.

The two candidates are Frederick Lam and Sze Lun-hung.

Electors must show their identity cards at the polling station, and use the chop provided to stamp the ballot paper with a tick in the circle opposite the name of the candidate of their choice before putting it into the ballot box.

The polling station is a restricted area accessible only to electors and authorised people. Unauthorised people are strictly prohibited from using mobile phones, taking photographs, filming or making video or audio recordings in the polling station.

An election hotline, 2891 1001, will be in service from 7am to 11pm to answer enquiries relating to electoral matters, including the location of the polling station that electors should visit. A complaints hotline, 2827 7251, will also operate from 7.30am to 10.30pm to handle complaints about breaches of electoral rules and guidelines.

Once the poll is closed, the facility will be turned into a counting station, and people are welcome to watch the counting of votes. The elected candidate will fill a vacant seat in the Kwun Tong District Council.
