Electors affected by the District Council constituency reallocation will receive letters about the changes from the Registration & Electoral Office in the next few days.
The allocated District Councils or constituencies of some electors have changed due to the alteration of constituency boundaries or names. The office will send letters to the 380,000 affected electors informing them of the changes. All electors, whether or not affected by the alteration, will be informed of polling arrangements when they receive poll cards.
Constituency boundaries and names were specified in the Declaration of Constituencies (District Councils) Order 2006, gazetted last December. The 2007 District Council ordinary election is scheduled for November 18. For enquires call 2891 1001.
