The Chief Executive has re-appointed 13 incumbent members and appointed three other people to the Equal Opportunities Commission for two years from May 20. The appointment notice will be gazetted April 27.

The 13 re-appointees are Dr Edwin Cheng, Professor Randy Chiu, Virginia Choi, Chong Wong Chor-sar, Christine Koo, Lam Kam-yi, Dr Agnes Lam, Desmond Liu, Dr Lo Wing-lok, Mandy Tam, Saeed Uddin, Margaret Wong and Raymond Yip.

The three new members are Carmen Chan, Maggie Chan and Lee Luen-fai.

The Home Affairs Bureau said the new EOC Board has achieved a balanced representation of the interests of women, the disabled, employers and employees, legal professionals, academics, ethnic minorities and the community at large.

It said that with the concerted efforts of the incumbent and new EOC Members, it is confident that the EOC will continue to enhance its services to the community and contribute to the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sex, marital status, pregnancy, disability and family status.
