With effect from April 15, the terms of reference of the Advisory Committee on Post-office Employment for Former Chief Executives & Politically Appointed Officials have been extended to cover the post-office appointment of former Chief Executives and politically appointed officials, also.
In view of the committee's new function, the Chief Executive has appointed two new members, Director General of the Hong Kong Management Association Dr Elizabeth Shing, and Commissioner of the Civil Aid Service and former Chairman of the Broadcasting Authority Dr Norman Leung.
The Chief Executive has also re-appointed Chairman Justice Pang Kin-kee, and two incumbent members, Prof Lee Chack-fan and Henry Fan.
The re-appointments and appointments are for two years from April 15.
The new terms of reference of the advisory committee are:
*to draw up the principles and criteria to be adopted for the purpose of advising former Chief Executives and politically appointed officials on their post-office employment or appointment; and
*on the basis of the principles and criteria adopted, to consider and advise former Chief Executives and politically appointed officials on post-office employment or appointment.
