Second CE election nomination received
*

Donald Tsang has handed in a nomination form for the Chief Executive election to Returning Officer Justice Barnabas Fung, who has processed it and determined it to be valid.

 

This brings the number of valid nominations for the election to two.

 

The nomination period, which started Wednesday, will end at 5pm on March 1. Any Hong Kong permanent resident who is a Chinese citizen, with no right of abode in any foreign country, who has reached 40 years of age, and has ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than 20 years, is eligible to be nominated.

 

A candidate's nomination shall be made by not less than 100 members of the Election Committee. Nomination forms are available from the Registration & Electoral Office, 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. Forms can be downloaded here.
