Sha Tin by-election nominations close

*

Four nominations were received for the Sha Tin District Council Kam Ying Constituency by-election at the close of the nomination period today.

 

The Registration & Electoral Office will rule on the validity of the nominees' candidature.

 

The nominees are Wong Huk-kam, Wong Shun-loy, Chan Ming-hung, and Tong Po-chun. 

 

Electoral Affairs Commission Chairman Justice Pang Kin-kee will chair a briefing for candidates and their agents on February 10 at 4/F, Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road. It will introduce the guidelines on election-related activities.

 

An ICAC representative will join the briefing to explain the Elections (Corrupt & Illegal Conduct) Ordinance.

 

Voting is set for March 11. The elected candidate will fill a vacant councillor seat in the district council.
