Subsector election nominations to start
*

Nominations for the 2006 Election Committee Subsector Elections will be held November 1 to 8. Candidates must submit completed forms in person to the returning officer for their subsector within the nomination period.

For subsectors or sub-subsectors in which the number of validly nominated candidates exceeds the number of Election Committee members to be returned, a poll will be held on December 10.

Nomination forms can be downloaded at the Registration & Electoral Office's website. Enquiries can be made at 2891 1001. The list of Returning Officers for various subsectors and their office addresses is also available on the website.

Forty Election Committee members will be nominated by the religious subsector from November 1 to 8. The list of candidates who are validly nominated will be published in the Government Gazette after the nomination period.
