Efficiency Unit Head Kitty Choi receives award
In recognition: Efficiency Unit Head Kitty Choi receives the Silver Award in the 2006 Best Call Centre on the integrated call centre's behalf.

The Integrated Call Centre, commonly known as 1823 Citizen's Easy Link, has won the Silver Award in the 2006 Best Call Centre category of the Hong Kong Call Centre Association Awards.

Two centre's officers have won individual awards. Assistant Manager (Operations) Ricky Cheung took the Silver Award in the Best Team Leader category while Manager (System Development & Support) Terry Yim took the Silver Award in the Best Professional category.

The centre was nominated to represent Hong Kong in a regional award competition to compete with other contestants from the Mainland China, Singapore and Malaysia.

Managing the centre's daily operation, the Efficiency Unit said the awards were very encouraging, showing the staff's dedicated efforts as a team, be they front-line or managerial.

The centre was set up, on behalf of 16 departments,  to provide a round-the-clock enquiry service for the public on government services.
