In the second quarter, 551 requests under the Code on Access to Information were received. Since the code's March 1995 introduction, there have been 20,455 requests.
The Home Affairs Bureau said 90% - or 18,333 - of the 20,455 requests were met, and only 397 were refused. A total of 941 requests had been withdrawn and there was no information in 699 requests.
As at June 30, 42 requests were still being processed.
In the second quarter, the Ombudsman received no complaints relating to the code.
