DC boundaries consultation to close
*

The public consultation on proposed boundaries and names for the constituencies for the 2007 District Council Election will close on August 25.

The Electoral Affairs Commission today reminded people to send their views to the commission before the deadline.

The commission will submit its final recommendations, which will take into account representations received during the consultation period, to the Chief Executive in November.

Written representations should be sent to the commission secretariat, 10/F Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. People can also submit views by email to eacenq@reo.gov.hk or by fax to 2511 1682.

Maps of the proposed boundaries and a boundary description booklet are available for inspection at more than 600 locations, including the Registration & Electoral Office, District Offices, post offices, management offices of public housing estates and public libraries.

They can also be viewed at www.eac.gov.hk
