The Economic Development & Labour Bureau has announced the appointment of Executive Councillor Andrew Liao as chairman of the Air Transport Licensing Authority for a two-year term starting August 1.
Three new members -Vivien Chan, Prof Michael Fung and Philco Wong - have also been appointed to the authority for the same term. Fanny Lai and Ma Ho-fai have been re-appointed.
The bureau was confident the new and serving members' diverse expertise and backgrounds will provide valuable contributions to the authority in ensuring the most effective air service to the public.
It also thanked departing chairman Ronny Wong, and members Albert Cheung, Prof Japhet Sebastian Law and Almon Poon who have retired from the authority.
