Good read: The Birds of Hong Kong & South China features more than 100 full-colour illustrations. |
The Birds of Hong Kong & South China, and Hong Kong 2005 - two books published by the Information Services Department - are now on sale at the Hong Kong Book Fair.
Translated by Hong Kong Observatory Director Lam Chiu-ying, the latest Chinese edition of The Birds of Hong Kong & South China contains more than 50 sections of families or groups of birds, including a new one on Hainan species.
As a comprehensive record of last year's events, Hong Kong 2005 highlights the city's diversity, from its cosmopolitan cultural life to flora and fauna, and local architecture and design.
The books are $158 and $138, and a 25% discount is being offered at the department's booth at the fair.
