The Information Services Department will close its publications sales unit and photo library service counters on Saturdays, but extend its opening hours on weekdays from July 1.
The public may buy government publications any time by fax, email and online. They can also enjoy a 15% discount when buying from the online Government Bookstore.
Meanwhile, the office hours for department's headquarters will be extended, to 8.45am to 6pm, from Monday to Friday. The media enquiry desk of the news sub-division will continue to operate round the clock, as will news.gov.hk.
