$1.5m in aid set for Indonesia quake victims
*

A $1.5-million grant from the Disaster Relief Fund has been approved for Mercy Corps to bring emergency relief to earthquake victims in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

This is further to four disbursements totalling $8.88 million made earlier this month for emergency relief to earthquake victims in Yogyakarta and in Central Java. This takes the total grants for Indonesian earthquake victims to $10.38 million.

To ensure the money is used for the designated purposes, the fund's advisory committee will ask the group to submit an evaluation report and audited accounts on the grant's use after the relief project has been completed.
