Construction board head, members reappointed
*

The appointments of Provisional Construction Industry Co-ordination Board Chairman Keith Kerr and 25 incumbent members have been extended until May 11, 2007, the Environment, Transport & Works Bureau announced today.

This re-appointment exercise will bring the tenure of all incumbent members into line and ensure the provisional board may continue to fulfil an important role in steering improvement initiatives before the formation of the statutory Construction Industry Council.

The board has 21 non-official members drawn from key sectors, and five official members.

Apart from serving as the focal point to nurture a new mindset predicated on quality and productivity, it is also a primary channel through which industry needs and aspirations can be conveyed to Government.
