Ng Chui-yiu joins civic education body
*

The Home Affairs Bureau has announced the appointment of Ng Chui-yiu, director of a number of investment and real estate companies, to the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education. She will serve until March 31, 2008.

Twelve members have been reappointed for the same period. For the new membership list click here.

The committee is a non-statutory advisory body tasked with the promotion of civic education outside schools through a range of publicity and educational programmes.

It commissions research studies on different aspects of civic education, works in partnership with other non-governmental organisations on specific promotion projects, and operates funding schemes to sponsor non-governmental organisations in carrying out civic education projects.
