Drainage worker dies
*

A 37-year-old man has died after collapsing in a Tai Po manhole. He was hired by a Drainage Services Department contractor for maintenance and construction work, and collapsed while clearing a sewer in Dai Fu Street five days ago. He died in Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital this morning.

 

Saddened by the incident, Director of Drainage Services Wong Chee-keung sent his condolences to the man's family and said the department will investigate the incident.
