Reform package revisions ready soon: CE
*
Donald Tsang
On time: Chief Executive Donald Tsang says the Commission on Strategic Development's study on Hong Kong's political reform will not be delayed.
*

Details on refining the proposed constitutional reform package will be announced in a week, Chief Executive Donald Tsang says.

He said today it is impossible to put forth the roadmap and timetable for universal suffrage without thorough discussion by the Commission on Strategic Development and the public.

Noting that a deadline has been set for the commission's study on Hong Kong's political reform, Mr Tsang said the work will not be delayed and the public are welcome to monitor the commission's work.

He said refinements to proposals in the Constitutional Task Force Fifth Report are being worked out, though the room for revision is limited.

Mr Tsang hopes the refined proposals, to be tabled at the Legislative Council on December 21, will be backed by lawmakers.
