CE rejects commission criticism

*
Donald Tsang

Firm stance: Chief Executive Donald Tsang rejects comments questioning the Commission on Strategic Development's legitimacy.

*

Chief Executive Donald Tsang has refuted criticism of the Commission on Strategic Development saying its members represent a broad cross-section of the community and are dedicated to ensuring Hong Kong's healthy future.

Mr Tsang reiterated the members will ensure public views are considered in policy formulation, and rejected claims there are too many members, adding the Government treasures the views of each.

He said he regretted but respected legislator Albert Cheng's resignation from the commission.
