Financial Secretary Henry Tang, following doctor's advice, has cancelled his trip to Xinjiang because of a viral infection on his leg.
Mr Tang was originally scheduled to leave for Xinjiang today to represent Hong Kong in the Central Delegation attending the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Beijing Office Director Bowen Leung will represent the Hong Kong Government at the celebration in Xinjiang.
