Secretary for Economic Development & Labour Stephen Ip will chair a new committee that will advise the Government on aviation-related matters. It will work closely with the local aviation industry, the Airport Authority, Trade Development Council and the Government to develop the sector and consolidate Hong Kong's status as an international and regional aviation hub.
This body, the Aviation Development Advisory Committee, replaces the existing Aviation Advisory Board whose term expires at the end of this month. The Government thanked the board's members for their valuable contributions.
The following people have been named committee members for a two-year period beginning September 1:

* Elizabeth Bosher;
* Philip Chen;
* Moses Cheng;
* Selina Chow;
* Stanley Hui;
* Kelvin Leung;
* Willy Lin;
* Prof Liu Pak-wai;
* Raymond Or;
* Joseph Tung;
* Airport Authority Chief Executive Officer (ex officio);
* Trade Development Council Executive Director (ex officio); and
* the Director-General of Civil Aviation (ex officio).
