CE to name next Chief Secretary

*

Chief Executive Donald Tsang will hold a special Executive Council meeting and announce the next Chief Secretary for Administration on June 25.

Speaking in Beijing today, Mr Tsang said boosting ties between Hong Kong and the Mainland is key to the city's success, adding the Central Government agreed with his policy objectives, such as improving governance and the economy, and building a harmonious society.

He reiterated his policy objectives will be people-based, adding efficient and effective governance is his aim.

Mr Tsang pledged to lead Hong Kong people to conquer all challenges, and continue implementing the 'one country, two systems' and 'Hong Kong people ruling Hong Kong' principles.
