Donald Tsang's nomination as a candidate in the Chief Executive election is valid, Returning Officer Madam Justice Carlye Chu has announced. Li Hau's nomination as a candidate has been ruled invalid.
Two other nominations are being processed in accordance with the law.
Mr Tsang handed in his form this morning. The returning officer has verified that 674 Election Committee members had subscribed to it.
The two-week nomination period, which started on June 3, will close at 5pm tomorrow.
