Dr York Liao has been re-appointed the Securities & Futures Commission's Non-Executive Director for two years from May 26.
The Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau said Dr Liao has been instrumental in enhancing the commission's corporate governance, accountability and transparency, and in bringing independent views to its management and organisation. The bureau looks forward to his support of the commission's work.
The commission currently has seven non-executive directors. The other serving non-executive directors are Jasper Tsang, Raymond Kwok, Christopher Cheng, Eddy Fong, Kenneth Kwok and Professor Liu Pak-wai.
