Government House will be open from 10am to 5pm on May 2 for the public to admire its architecture and take a stroll in its garden.
The Antiquities & Monuments Office will help to set up a display in the ballroom, showing old pictures of Government House and photographs of dignitaries received by the Government since the reunification.
Visitors may pass by the drawing room and the dining room where the Government usually holds important official functions, such as banquets in honour of visiting heads of state, and honours and awards presentation ceremonies.
All visitors are requested to enter by the east gate at Upper Albert Road and leave by the main gate. They are advised not to travel by private car.
