Retired accountant Marvin Cheung has been appointed a Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing board member for two years. Incumbent members Henry Fan and Fong Hup have also been re-appointed for a two-year term.

Financial Secretary Henry Tang said he is glad they have accepted the appointments, adding they are well-respected and prominent figures in the financial services industry.

Mr Tang thanked retiring member Leong Ka-chai for his dedicated services in the past five years.

"We trust we can continue to count on his support for the future development of the securities and futures market of Hong Kong," Mr Tang said.
