The Home Affairs Bureau has appointed eight new members to the Commission on Youth, and re-appointed Chairman Dr Philemon Choi and six members for a two-year term starting April 1.
The new members are Louise Chan, Adrian Yip, Yip Chee-tim, Dr Ho Kit-wan, Anna Kwong, Billy Leung, Yiu Tze-leung and Cheng Wai-hing.
The re-appointed members are Dr Philemon Choi (chairman), Professor Jimson Chan, Justina Leung, Peter Lee, Chan Yung, Chan Hak-kan and Lam Kin-chung.
The other 17 members are Ho Kim-fai, Patrick Yung, Max Wong, Dr Larry Chow, Fong Ping, Lo Ping, Bunny Chan, Lo Yan-lai, Raphael Tong, Joanne Chan, Dr Elaine Au Liu, Chan Kai-ming, Dr Sandra Tsang, Carol Ma, Iris Cheung, Alice Fong and William Chan.
The commission also includes representatives from the Home Affairs, Education & Manpower, Health, Welfare & Food and Security Bureaux.
It is a non-statutory body advising the Government on youth matters. It commissions research studies and works in partnership with other non-governmental organisations, and operates funding schemes to sponsor non-governmental organisations in conducting youth development projects.
