Cheung Sik-yung was declared elected for the Ap Lei Chau North Constituency of the Southern District Council during the weekend by-election.

The candidate had 702 votes, the same as Chiu Kwing-shing. They drew lots to determine the winner.

The three other candidates were Petrus Chan (25 votes),  Wan Kam-cheung (491 votes) and Ng Ting-kit (321 votes).
