Leo Kung, Angelina Lee, David Sun and Wong Ting-kwong have been appointed Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority Non-Executive Directors for two years from March 17.

Charles Lee has been re-appointed the authority's chairman for two years from the same date.

Five incumbent non-executive directors have also been re-appointed for two years. They are Lee Kai-ming, Tam Yiu-chung, Kenneth Ting, the Secretary for Economic Development & Labour and the Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury.

The Government thanked the four outgoing members, Eddy Fong, Dr David Li, Dr Lui Ming-wah and Anna Wu for their contributions over the past few years.

Launched in 2000, the Mandatory Provident Fund System has been operating smoothly. The authority is the statutory body responsible for the regulation of the system. It also regulates occupational retirement schemes established by employers on a voluntary basis.
