Acting Chief Executive Donald Tsang encourages civil servants to carry out their duties as usual, to help ensure a smooth Chief Executive By-election in July.

Mr Tsang met with a group of senior directorate officers today to explain Hong Kong's latest developments.

Secretary for the Civil Service Joseph Wong said Mr Tsang asked the civil service to continue serving the public unfailingly as usual.

"All civil servants are very professional. I have absolutely every confidence they will do as the Acting Chief Executive has asked," Mr Wong said.
