The Central Government will remain steadfast in upholding 'one country, two systems', Hong Kong people ruling Hong Kong and a high degree of automony, Premier Wen Jiabao says.

Delivering his government work report at the National People's Congress annual session in Beijing today, Premier Wen said the Central Government will strictly adhere to the Basic Law.

He also extended his staunch support to the Chief Executives of Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions in implementing policies according to the law and improving administration.
