1 more nomination for by-elections
*

One nominee was named today for the by-election in the Nam Cheong Central Constituency of the Sham Shui Po District Council.

This was the first nomination for the Nam Cheong Central by-election since nominations started yesterday. The nominee, Cheung Chi-keung, is a public transport worker affiliated to the Association for Democracy & People's Livelihood.

No new nominations were received today for the by-election in the Fort Street Constituency of the Eastern District Council after the first submission yesterday.

The two-week nomination period for the two by-elections will end on January 26. A poll will be held on March 6 if there is more than one validly nominated candidate in a constituency.
