Lam Kin-che to stay on as advisory body chief

*

Professor Lam Kin-che has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Advisory Council on the Environment for two years from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2006. Five new members - James Graham, Howard Huang, Paul Lam, Goretti Lau and Tsang Kam-lam - have also been named.

 

The council reviews the environment here and advises the Government on appropriate measures to combat pollution, as well as protect and sustain the environment. For an updated membership list, click here.

 

The Environment, Transport & Works Bureau welcomed the appointees and looked forward to their contributions and support for the development of environmental protection policy.

 

The bureau also thanked the outgoing members - Otto Poon, Professors David Lung and Peter Ronald Hills  - for their valuable advice and contributions.
