Village rep by-elections set for Nov 28

*

Polling will be held in two villages in Fanling and Ham Tin in the Village Representative By-elections from noon to 7pm on November 28.

Since there is more than one candidate running for the indigenous inhabitant representative posts of Fanling in the North district and Ham Tin on the Islands, polling will be held for these villages.

Twelve other candidates were returned uncontested in their respective villages to fill eight indigenous inhabitant representative and four resident representative vacancies.

For details of the 16 valid nominations for the 14 village representative vacancies, click here or call or call 2152 1521.

No nomination was made as regards four Resident Representative and one Indigenous Inhabitant Representative vacancies. The villages concerned are Yung Shue Long, Po Toi, Yung Shue Ha and Man Kok Tsui on the Islands and Long Ke in Sai Kung.

Electors will receive a polling notice at least 10 days before the polling day. The notice will specify the address of the polling station, accompanied by a location map.

They have to bring along their identity documents to the designated polling station on the polling day.
