Registered electors who have not yet received a poll card reminding them where and how to vote in the 2004 Legislative Council election have been urged to call the election hotline 2891 1001.
About 3.2 million electors should have received the document by now, and those who have not should seek assistance.
The electoral mailing package sent out by the Registration & Electoral Office to each elector includes a poll card, a location map of the of the designated polling station, a voting guide and an introductory leaflet containing the photographs, personal particulars and platforms of the candidates in their respective constituencies. There is also a leaflet from the Independent Commission Against Corruption on clean and fair elections.
All functional constituency electors who are geographical constituency electors also, will have the introductory leaflet of candidates in their functional constituency included as part of the mailing package sent to them.
Those in the 11 functional constituencies that have their candidates elected unopposed will see a notification on the cover of the leaflet that reminds them that voting for that functional constituency is not required.
Polling will be held on Sunday from 7.30am to 10.30pm. For details about the election, click here.
