Ng Tat-lun and Lee Kai-ming have been re-appointed chairman and vice-chairman of the Occupational Safety & Health Council along with eight incumbent members. Five new members have been appointed.
The appointments were published in the gazette today. Appointed for a three-year tenure, Dr Ng's appointment will take effect August 22.
The five new members are: Raymond Choy, Cheung Pak-chi, Yu Sau-chun, Gordon Cho and Jean Woo.
Apart from the Chairman and Vice-chairman, the other eight incumbent members who have been re-appointed are: Locky Chu, David Ng, Louis Wong, Choi Chun-wa, Wong Siu-han, Charles Wong, Cheng Man-yung and Joseph Kwan.
The remaining three members of the council are Principal Assistant Secretary for Works responsible for industrial and construction site safety matters; Commissioner for Labour or his representative; and Government Chemist or his representative.
The council is constituted under the Occupational Safety & Health Council Ordinance with the task of fostering a safe and healthy working environment in Hong Kong.
