Returning Officers received 27 nominations for the Legislative Council election for the five geographical and 28 functional constituencies today, the first day of the two-week nomination period.
Among the five geographical constituencies, only four nominations were received in the New Territories West. For the functionals, 23 nomination forms were submitted.
Nominees' personal particulars will be uploaded onto the LegCo election website every night during the nomination period which runs to August 4.
In the September 12 polls, 30 members will be returned from geographical constituencies and another 30 from functional constituencies.
