The Chief Executive has appointed Diana Chan as the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority Managing Director for three years from July 1.
Mrs Chan has worked with the authority since 2000, first as an Executive Director, then Chief Operating Officer (Corporate Affairs), and from July last year as Acting Managing Director. She is closely involved with the successful launch and subsequent implementation of the MPF System.
During her tenure as the Acting Managing Director, she demonstrated an exemplary standard of performance. She spearheaded a Disclosure Project which aims to ensure scheme members will have clearer and easier to understand information on fees and charges and investment performance of MPF funds.
Given the importance of the MPF system, it is imperative for the Managing Director to be a person with proven ability and experience. The Government is looking forward to working with her and her colleagues.
