14 join Youth Commission

Fourteen new members have been appointed to the Commission on Youth, and three existing members reappointed, for a two-year term from April 1.

 

The new members are Baptist University Department of Geography senior lecturer Larry Chow; merchants Fong Ping, Bunny Chan and Raphael Tong; investment consultant and public relations company general manager Lo Ping; insurance company district director Lo Yan-lai; marketing consultant Joanne Chan; City University Department of Applied Social Studies assistant professor Elaine Au; Red Cross Secretary General Chan Kai-ming; HK University Department of Social Work & Social Administration associate professor Sandra Tsang; Lingnan University PhD student Carol Ma; Polytechnic University undergraduate Iris Cheung; University of Science & Technology undergraduate Alice Fong; and secondary seven student William Chan.

 

The re-appointed members are Ho Kim-fai, Patrick Yung and Max Wong.

The Commission on Youth is a non-statutory advisory body to advise the Government on youth matters.

 

It commissions research studies on Hong Kong's youngsters, works in partnership with other non-government bodies and operates funding schemes to sponsor non-government bodies in carrying out youth development projects.
