Secretary for Justice Elsie Leung hopes that Hong Kong's constitutional development will continue, adding that the Government will listen to the public's views when discussing the issue with the Central Government.
Ms Leung said the Task Force on constitutional development will visit Beijing soon to understand the Central Government's concerns, although a date has not yet been fixed.
The Task Force has already started its meetings with local groups to garner views, she said.
The target is for constitutional reform to continue to develop, she added.
