The 25% discount on publications now being offered by the online Government Bookstore will be extended to July.

The promotion will allow customers to make greater use of electronic services to order Government publications.

Since the discount was introduced last July, the number of transactions handled by the online bookstore has grown significantly as more people switch to electronic channels for purchasing Government publications.

The online bookstore offers a wide range of Government publications, such as educational items, maps, Government Gazettes, the Laws of HK, medical and health information, departmental forms, and social and economic statistics.

The portal also contains a catalogue showing different categories of publications. Details such as book titles, date of publication, weight and price are shown on a separate shopping list.

The discount applies to selected items, such as the Government Yearbook, Emergency Care Handbook, Tide Tables for HK, the Road Users Code, Countryside Maps, the Code of Practice for the Electricity (Wiring) Regulations as well as the newly published thematic book The Temple Gardens of HK.

The Government Bookstore, operated by the Information Services Department under the Electronic Service Delivery Scheme, provides an efficient community service around the clock.
