Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works Dr Sarah Liao departed for Kunming today to attend the East Asia Mayors' Forum.

She will share with participants experiences in city construction, public administration and sustainable development.

The forum, with the theme East Asia Cities - Co-operation & Development, runs until December 5.

Dr Liao will also take the opportunity to promote Hong Kong as Asia's world city and speak on its revival after SARS.

She will return to Hong Kong on December 4.
