Secretary for Justice Elsie Leung will visit Canada from November 17 to 22.
She will meet government officials, think tanks, legal professionals, academics and Chinese business and community leaders.
In Ottawa, Ms Leung will meet Secretary of State (Asia Pacific) David Kilgour, and Minister for Justice Martin Cauchon.
She will attend a luncheon with distinguished women leaders organised by the Conference Board of Canada, and a discussion on the implementation of the One Country, Two Systems formula in Hong Kong. The latter is organised by the Canadian Institute of International Affairs and the Canadian Council on International Law.
In Toronto, Ms Leung will meet Ontario Attorney General Michael Bryant. She will also address a luncheon jointly organised by the Canadian Club, the HK Canada Business Association (Toronto), the HK Economic & Trade Office and the HK Trade Development Council.
In Vancouver, Ms Leung will meet Mayor Malcolm Brodie of the City of Richmond, Mayor Larry Campbell of the City of Vancouver, and Attorney General of British Columbia Geoff Plant.
She will also attend a luncheon to be held in her honour by the HK-Canada Business Association (Vancouver), the Canadian Club and the Law Society.
