8 appointed to privacy advisory committee

*

Eight people from different sectors have been appointed to the Personal Data (Privacy) Advisory Committee for a two-year term from October 1.

 

They are attorney-at-law Wudy Heung, Advantage China Holdings Chairman Ivan Ko, Consumer Council Deputy Chief Executive Li Kai-ming, Sing Tao Newspaper Group Chief Executive Officer Lo Wing-hung, Internet Professionals Association President Elizabeth Quat, IVE Department of Computing Head Tsang Lai-keung, and solicitor Raymond Yip.

 

The committee, established under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, is chaired by Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Raymond Tang. The Deputy Secretary for Home Affairs or the Principal Assistant Secretary for Home Affairs is also a member of the committee.
