A funeral with full honours will be held Friday for late Government Flying Service officer Chan Man-tik.

Taking place at Universal Funeral Parlour, Hung Hom, mourning is open to friends, relatives, invited Government officials, dignitaries, GFS staff and the public, from 8am.

It will be followed by a traditional Taoist ceremony and the official ceremony.

The hearse will leave the funeral parlour at 11am, and the cortege will head to Gallant Garden at Wo Hop Shek Cemetery for the burial service.

GFS Controller Captain Brian Butt, representatives of various Government departments, and GFS staff will lay wreaths and pay their last respects to the late crewman.

Mr Chan and Pilot Pang Fu-kwok lost their lives in a helicopter crash on Lantau Island on August 26.
