The Secretary for Home Affairs Dr Patrick Ho will officiate at the grand opening of the Hong Kong Pavilion at the 50th Venice Biennial on Friday.

Dr Ho will leave Hong Kong tomorrow night and will be back on June 15.

Hong Kong made its debut appearance at the Venice Biennial in 2001. This is its second time to take part.

The Venice Biennial originated in 1895 as an international art exhibition.
