Rosanna Law visits GZ
Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Rosanna Law met Guangdong Province Vice-Governor Liu Hongbing in Guangzhou today, briefing him on the Blueprint for Arts & Culture & Creative Industries Development and the Development Blueprint for Hong Kong's Tourism Industry 2.0.
She also outlined the mission and strategies of Hong Kong's development in arts, culture, creative industries and tourism during the meeting.
The officials exchanged views on cultural and tourism collaborations between Guangdong and Hong Kong in the future, and explored ways to share arts and cultural resources and develop cross-boundary signature itineraries.
Miss Law said that both places, having close connections in culture and history, will explore more diverse cultural tourism initiatives through stronger collaborations so as to attract more international tourists, deepen people's understanding of the profound traditional cultural characteristics of the Lingnan legacy, and facilitate mutual cultural exchanges and economic development.
Discussions were also held on the preparatory works for the 15th National Games (NG), the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities (NGD) and the 9th National Special Olympic Games (NSOG) to promote the development of the sports industry in Guangdong and Hong Kong.
Miss Law then visited the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center, one of the competition venues of the 15th NG, the 12th NGD and the 9th NSOG.
The sports chief began her itinerary in Guangzhou yesterday, co-chairing the 12th Guangdong-Hong Kong Liaison Meeting on the 15th NG, the 12th NGD and the 9th NSOG with Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province Head Cui Jian.
Miss Law also watched the 43rd Guangdong - Hong Kong Cup (Round 1) football match last night in the Guangzhou Yuexiushan Stadium.
She departed for Hong Kong at noon today.
