The Government today announced that Deputy Director of Accounting Services Ng Wai-man will take up the post of Director of Accounting Services on January 16 to succeed Susanna Cheung who will proceed on pre-retirement leave on the same day.

Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung said Mr Ng has proven management and leadership skills as well as rich professional knowledge and extensive operational experience, adding that she is confident he will be able to lead the Treasury to meet the challenges ahead.

On Ms Cheung's retirement, Mrs Yeung said: “Ms Cheung has served with professionalism and commitment in the civil service for 28 years. As Director of Accounting Services, Ms Cheung has made sustained efforts in enhancing the efficiency and service quality of the Treasury.

“I wish Ms Cheung a fulfilling and happy retirement.”
